Malaysian Immigration Raid! A Nigerian & Togolese among 454 arrested illegal immigrants

Malaysian Immigration Authorities has reportedly arrested 454 illegal immigrants in a massive joint-forces-operation in Chow Kit this morning 21st January, 2014. A Nigerian and Togolese where among those arrested.

Wisma Hock Ann flat unit was raided as authorities have knowledge that illegal immigrants. 

According to NST,  City Immigration Department enforcement division chief James Musa Singa said the suspects, including 82 women, were detained for various offences including for not having valid travel documents, overstay as well as in possession of counterfeited working permits.

Quoting City Immigration Department enforcement division chief James Musa Singa “In this operation, we conducted door-to-door search for illegal immigrants."

“From 918 people checked, we detained 454 illegal immigrants of different nationalities,” he said.

He said the suspects, aged between 20 and 50, were from  Indonesia (257), Bangladesh (60), India (39), Pakistan (18), Myanmar (41), Nepal (30), Vietnam (2), and one each from Thailand, Yemen, Togo, Nigeria.
