Close-Up interview with Steve O. former Nigerian Idol Contestant






KachiZone was privileged to have an interview with former Nigerian Idol contestant... The very likeable Stephen Onochie whose stage name is "Steve O." He serenaded us with lovely tunes during the show in 2012...
Here are the excerpts from the interview... enjoy reading.

KachiZone: We would like to wish you a happy new year.
Steve O.: Hmmmm same to you

KachiZone: What was it like being a Nigerian Idol contestant?
Steve O.:  It was one of the greatest  things that has happened to me

KachiZone: What were your achievement at the show and what did you learn as a contestant?
Steve O.: Achievements? Hmmm fame, platform and respect. I learnt in general to always do your best and never shy away

KachiZone: What was your position at the show?
Steve O.: 2nd Runner-Up (3rd place)

KachiZone: How has life been after the show?
Steve O. Life has been demanding after the show, like requests from fans, living not the life you live before, somehow dropping somethings because you've become a role model

KachiZone: Do you have any project in 2014?
Steve O.: Yes

KachiZone: What project do you have for your fans in 2014 and when should they expect it?
Steve O.: My first Album launch and concerts before the end of the year (2014)

KachiZone: Any set dates?
Steve O.: Not yet! Its would be a surprise

KachiZone: Assume you're back as a Nigerian Idol contestant, what would you do to win the title?
Steve O.: I will do same best i gave

KachiZone: Nothing to change or add?
Steve O.: If i would change, i will change my little mistakes. No one is perfect. But i will add more energy and style.

KachiZone.: What were your mistakes?
Steve O.: Maybe my song lines i mistakenly missed though people didn't notice... lol

KachiZone: What are your advise to future Nigerian Idol contestants?
Steve O.: Work Hard and be yourself, i mean your real self!

KachiZone: What do you think about Nigeria Music Industry?
Steve O.: Its good! but music itself is not defined the way it should be

KachiZone: How do you mean?
Steve O.: I mean lyrics of a song! How well does it help the society and life in general? good lyrical contents is very important.

KachiZone: What 're the future of upcoming musicians like you?
Steve O.: Well i can't say about the future! but good work and originality tells... The future is very bright because Nigerian music is making a big wave both locally and internationally

KachiZone: Do you see future musicians thriving amongst the old and established ones?
Steve O.: Yes, its depends on your work. If you do it right then yes, you will get the fruit of it.

KachiZone: Who are your musical inspiration locally and internationally?
Steve O.: Internationally are Jennifer Hudson, Donnie Mc while, Onyeka Onwenu & Dare art Alade are my Nigerian musical inspirtaion

KachiZone: On a lighter note; Who styles you? and what are your fashion sense?
Steve O.: I style myself for now and anything reasonable is my style sense

KachiZone: I'm sure ladies want to know your relationship status!
Steve O.: Single. Lol

KachiZone.: So single ladies should apply? Lol.. or you prefer to be single at the moment?
Steve O.: That's a private matter... Lol
