Family pressures turned 53-year-old mother into a drug trafficker

For five years, dealing in illicit drugs has been the major source of livelihood for Mrs. Sinorobo John.
But the arm of the law caught up with her recently as she was apprehended with 20.9kg of Cannabis sativa, popularly known as Indian Hemp, at Kolokuma in Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.
The suspect, an indigene of Kolokuma, unlike many criminals who would not admit their involvement in the illegal business, readily confessed that she was indeed a drug dealer.
John, a mother of three, told operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency while being paraded with other drug dealing suspects, that she did it because of poverty occasioned by family pressures.
She said, “I have done the business for five years. I was forced into the illegal business to enable me to raise money to take care of my three children.
“I have been groaning under the heavy weight of family pressures because my husband, who used to be the breadwinner has been ill for over five years.
“As I have nobody to turn to and life became so unkind to me, I was compelled to take to the illegal drug business to survive.”
Though she confessed knowing the business was illegal, she nevertheless went into it because of the financial strains she found herself.
John said she was happy that at least, within the period she operated the business, she was able to eke a living and pay her children’s school fees.
John, who appeared remorseful, having cooled off in the drug enforcement agency’s detention, appealed to the relevant authorities to temper justice with mercy.
“I beg the government to temper justice with mercy. I regret doing the business. I was thoroughly messed up by poverty that I thought what I was doing was right.
“Even as I am here, I pity my children because they have nobody to take care of them. My husband, who should have taken care of them, has been bed-ridden for many years now.”
Apart from John, the NDLEA also paraded five other suspected drug dealers – Erikefe Oparafe; Benedict Uju; Ebi Famoh; Odju Benjamin and Onyebuchi Nwanze.
On his part, Oparafe, who hails from Ughelli North in Delta State, claimed he was a commercial driver.
The 23-year-old man said he was lured into the illicit business of dealing in cannabis when his vehicle engine knocked and his principal refused to repair the vehicle.
Oparafe said, “I am a commercial bus driver. I was managing myself until the engine of the vehicle I was driving knocked. When I met the vehicle owner, he refused to work on it. So, I could not go to work again.
“As I was suffering because of that, my friends advised that I should devise other means to survive. My attempt to keep body and soul together made me to turn to drug trafficking to help myself.”
The suspect, who was arrested with 58kg of cannabis sativa, claimed that he was caught on his first attempt.
He promised that if he was set free, he would not go back to the illegal business again.
Nwanze, a building materials trader, was caught in possession of cocaine.
He claimed he took to trafficking cocaine because his business collapsed.
The 34-year-old indigene of Anambra State, said he was nabbed by NDLEA operatives at Tombia area of Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
“This is my first time. I blame the devil for my woes. I promise not to go back to the business. I appeal to the authorities to have pity on me and let me off the hook,” the suspect begged remorsefully.
The then Bayelsa State NDLEA Commander, Mr. Frank Hanachor, who now heads the Delta State Command, said they would be arraigned as soon as the judiciary calls off its strike. Culled

Cultists shoot & kills UNILAG ‘big boy’

A 23-year-old student of the University of Lagos, Olubunmi Elusakin has been shot dead at a bar around St. Finbarrs in Akoka area of Lagos while relaxing with friends.
His assailants, suspected to be cultists and also students of UNILAG, walked up to him and shot him at point blank range where he sat, it was learnt.
Saturday PUNCH spoke with a student of the Department of Accounting, who said he knew the deceased.
“His parents had recently bought a new SUV for him. He was such a cool-headed man. But everybody knew him as one of the ‘big boys’ in the Faculty of Business Administration,” the student, who spoke under condition of anonymity, said.
Investigators at the Department of Criminal Investigation, Yaba, Lagos, said the deceased was a 300-Level student.
“From investigation so far, the asailants were not even masked. Our findings revealed that he was sitting at a table inside a bar around St Finbarr’s when they walked inside and shot him in the head around 8pm last week Tuesday.” a source told our correspondent.
Saturday PUNCH learnt that the remains of the deceased were buried on Wednesday, one week after the incident. An autopsy was conducted on the body on Tuesday.
Police are working on the suspicion that the deceased was killed as a reprisal for a grouse against the cultists even though it has not been established if Elusakin belonged to any cult group.
The Facebook wall of the deceased, who was fondly called BMoney by friends has been awash with condolence messages from associates.
“I still can’t believe you are gone B Money. You have always been the most decent and gentle guy I know but death has cut the long story short. Heck, I can’t hold the tears rolling down my eyes,” one friend, DamolaAjala wrote.
“I am feeling alone, I am feeling very sad. I don’t know about my heart. I am thinking about something is lost in my life. B Money, my one and only friend, best friend. Brother from different mother, I miss you so much,” Oladipo Dotun, who was said to be the deceased’s closest pal, wrote on Facebook.
Another friend, Habibat Adeyinka poured out her emotion, writing, “Bunmi, please wake up. I am ready to say yes. I am going to date you now. Please.”
A spokesperson for UNILAG, Mr. Olagoke Oke of the Information Unit, asked for more time to get details about the incident when contacted on Wednesday.
Four suspects have so far been arrested in connection with the attack.
Spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, Mr. Kenneth Nwosu, who confirmed this, stated that efforts were being made to track down the killers of the UNILAG student.

Hmm... Lagos bar where male sex workers hustle for clients

The time was 7pm, penultimate Saturday. The venue was a hotel on Abaranje Road in Ikotun, a suburb in Lagos State. He adorned black denims on a black T-shirt. He said his name was Kenny, of course, he admitted it wasn't his real name.
He sauntered into the hotel as if his main aim was to have a couple of drinks and maybe complement it with a plate of sizzling pepper soup.
But Kenny didn’t just come to only have a drink, Kenny is first of all, a male commercial sex worker and was looking for a customer that he would ‘service’ in order to make a quick cash for the weekend. One of our correspondents got to know Kenny through a regular customer, who had been patronizing the motel bar for a long time and who once had a close contact with him.
Being a regular face in the bar as the place seemed to be his office at night, his presence was certain, and indeed, he came, our correspondent waited for him.
It is no news that bars and drinking joints are the right spots for many on weekends, and being at the centre of a busy road, this hotel seemed like a right place for many. The music blaring from the speakers was good and loud enough to entertain even those who were not within the premises.
With the perimeter fencing well-illuminated, passers-by could as well be tempted to stop by and have a drink. But for Kenny, he came on purpose. On hand were some guys in crested vests with ‘security’ boldly printed on them to ensure law and order in the premises.
Not even the crowd and almost non-availability of chairs could dissuade people as some, including our correspondent, had to lean on a car for some time before he could locate a seat.
“This is the way it is on weekends. Because a number of those who come here on weekends are in the working class, you don’t get to see them on week days, so, on weekends, the house is always full. Even at certain times, you may not have a place to sit, and the premises, including the car park, would be so crowded, yet, it’s safe,” Seun, who claimed to be a regular customer, told Saturday Punch.
But the loud music would not really be the only thing one would instantly notice, skimpily and scantily dressed ladies prancing from one end of the motel to the other would instantly hit your eyes as soon as you sit, stand or hang out anywhere near the motel.
Of course, one wouldn’t need a soothsayer to know that the ladies are commercial sex workers, looking for customers for the night.
Indeed, just as they are on the lookout for patrons, their male counterparts are not left behind.
Like Kenny, sitting at different tables, were young guys chatting, smoking and drinking and talking in loud voices. To the innocent eyes, they are just young men having a good time. But then, only a few would know that some of them are also commercial sex workers. They are available for women who are ready to have them in exchange for some cash.
Since the male sex workers may not readily own up or be identified as being available for ‘service’, one of our correspondents approached a female sex worker as if he needed a ‘quickie’ or ‘short rest’ so that in the middle of their chat, she could help in identifying a guy to service his ‘madam.’
“Babe, how far now,” our correspondent asked. “I dey o, wetin dey happen?” she responded. Our correspondent introduced himself as ‘John’ while she gave her name as ‘Debbie’ who looked to be in her mid 20s.
Our correspondent requested for a short service but that before proceeding to the room or the car, she would have to help in arranging a “strong guy” for his madam who parked outside the hotel.
“I brought my madam here so I could ‘arrange’ a guy for her, but since I wouldn’t want to idle away while they would be having a good time, we can quickly do a ‘short rest’ before they would finish theirs. So you go help me arrange man for am. I mean guy wey strong well well o,” our correspondent had asked Debbie.
“That one na small thing now, guys dey. Make we talk our own first. It depends on what you want or what she wants; maybe tall or short, fair or dark, they are all here and they are all very strong too. In fact, I have some that I can’t give your madam because they can ‘wound’ her. I hope say your madam go fit pay o and she go get body hold am,” Debbie responded swiftly.
She agreed to take N1,500 for the ‘short time’ service, with an agreement that our correspondent would pay for a room in the motel at the rate of N700.
“For short rest, a room is N700 but if it is till day break, it’s N4,000, but if you give me the money, they can take N500 from me instead of the N700 because I’m a regular customer. I just ‘rested’ a guy now, so they know me very well, and there are many rooms we can choose from,” she explained.
When the deal was sealed, she handed her drink to our correspondent and dashed into the crowd to look for one of the male sex workers.
A few minutes later, Debbie returned with five guys, averagely in their mid and late 20s. On arrival, they introduced themselves, which sounded like aliases. Among them was Water, perceived to be a strong and qualified guy for the job. Others gave their names as TK, Segun, Uche and Charles, all looking set for work as they gesticulated occasionally.
While thinking of which of them to choose, they all promised to ‘deliver’ more than expected.
On a closer look, our correspondent had sighted one of them in the bar, smoking, drinking and dancing, all at once, but nothing would have given him away as a sex worker. Though he appeared like a ‘bad guy’, sagging his jean trousers as if his boxers had to be a part of the party.
After taking turns to explain how much they could perform, Saturday Punch learnt that the average amount the guys collect from any woman who needs their services for a short time is N5,000. It could be more than one round, but not for too long.
“If it is till daybreak, we charge at least N8,000, and the woman would also pay for the room and a room costs N4,000 per night in this place unless she doesn’t want to use the hotel. We can go for as many rounds as she wants,” Water told Saturday Punch.
With an assurance that money wouldn’t be a problem as long as he could deliver and satisfy the madam, Water boasted that he had been doing it and ‘servicing’ big women for a long time and that he was very popular in the bar such that those who had been patronising the hotel knew him for his strength.
“It’s been a while I started doing this thing, even before I came here. And the truth is that the more you do, the better skilled you become. So chairman, relax, madam go enjoy my company. In fact, because she is a new customer, I can give her discount and she should just give me whatever she has afterwards. I’m sure if she enjoys my service, she would come back looking for me.
“Ask them, all of them know me, and they know that I don’t disappoint. If she says we should go now, I’m ready, no stopping till mama calls,” he assured.
When our correspondent selected Water to meet the madam, who had been waiting outside in her car, his face beamed with smiles. He teased his colleagues, saying he had caught another big fish.
He almost led the way when it was time to go, basking in some euphoria. It was while walking to the car that he told our correspondent that he had been cash-strapped for some time. He said he would give his best so that he would be rewarded handsomely.
“Some of the big women I have ‘serviced’ before still call me till date, and once you do them well (sic), they won’t want to lose you. They can even call you to meet them anywhere and they would pay,” he added.
On getting to the car where one of our correspondents pretends to be the ‘madam,’ Water expressed a little reservation before going into the car alone with someone he had never met before, but with assurance that nothing would happen to him, he jumped in.
But then again, once inside the car where ‘madam’ was waiting to ‘bargain’ with Water, the young man’s confidence waned a little as he kept looking from one corner of the car to the other, apparently looking for what would give away the correspondent as not being real.
Asked why he looked tensed, Water said, “Sorry ma, it is not as if I am not used to this. But then again, I have to be careful. You know that this is not common. We are aware that women come here and ‘take’ our ‘destinies’ once we sleep with them. The money that we ought to make would be going to them.”
But ‘madam’ quickly assured him that his fears weren’t necessary by telling him, “I am not looking for a boyfriend. The guys I had dealt with stole my money and broke my heart even when I gave them love. I just want somebody I can have sex with and that is just that. I don’t want my heart to be involved at all.”
Satisfied with the explanation, Water quickly boasted about his sexual prowess.
“Ah! Madam! I will do you well. In fact, if I ‘handle’ you, I am not sure you would want to let me go. Just try me and you would find out that you have been dealing with the wrong boys.”
And of course, he didn’t waste time to tell ‘madam’ that he would charge N15, 000 for the night for his ‘services.’
“Madam, if na TDB (Till day break), na N15k I go take o, I no charge you. No be so we dey even collect. E get some people wey dey charge N20k. Last week, na N25k one woman pay me. I just like you as you set, na why I wan collect N15k.”
The bargaining eventually ended at N7, 000 for the night but Water insisted that he wouldn’t be the person that would pay for the room.
“A room in this hotel is N4, 000. You will be the one to pay for it and my own money will be N7, 000. Na the last price be that.”
Apart from the money ‘madam’ was willing to pay, the young man had some other ‘conditions’ attached to his services.
“Madam, if you no wan make I use condom, that one will cost you extra. The N7k is with condom o. Without condom dey sweet pass and na why we dey charge extra N2, 000 for that.
“Madam, you go first ‘ginger’ me well. Then we go come play. Na you go ‘ginger’ me before we play, otherwise my body no go fit stand.”
When our correspondent assured him that he would be ‘gingered,’ Water was all eager to set the ball rolling.
But our correspondent told him he would have to wait for her the following day, that she had just come into town.
Before they departed, ‘madam’ asked Water if he had other people who could ‘service’ her friends and he replied in the affirmative.
“We plenty nah. Ha! Should I call somebody for you now? Is your friend on her way? This is what we do. We are ‘hustlers’. Na so we dey make our money, we no be thieves and we are not criminals,” he said.
When asked if he would agree to a monthly or weekly allowance, Water agreed but not without saying, “Madam, the first night, we must do it here o. I am still not sure of you. So we have to use this motel first. Then, if you want me to come to your hotel later, I would agree. That one na small thing.”
While Water and ‘madam’ engaged in serious bargaining, Debbie appeared, seemingly impatient to have our correspondent, her ‘early customer’ all to herself. With a little tip, she agreed to stay for some time until the conversation between Water and the ‘madam’ was over.
“That guy is good if your madam can pay. I have slept with him before and he almost spoilt my tool of business. He took me home for ‘daybreak’ and I could barely walk the following morning. My legs were weak and I could barely walk home, and he still appeared very strong after all he did through the night. Even though he paid me N6,000 for the service, I can’t sleep with him again,” Debbie narrated.
Debbie assured our correspondent that the chosen guy was a very strong ‘sex machine.’ She explained that the guys who do such are not always greedy about the money they want to collect because she had arranged guys for some women earlier, including the one she did for a woman the previous day.
“The woman called me this morning to appreciate me for giving her a good guy. She told me the guy was very good and capable,” she added.
When asked whether there were enough men that could satisfy as many women that might come in a day, she hissed in amazement, saying they were more than imagined.
“Some of those guys that you see hanging around are available for service, whether for short time or TDB but you won’t know they do such, you know how our society be now. Unlike our own, so they can’t really do much to present themselves as available. Besides, some women are too shy to come here but since here is safe and there is accommodation for just N700, they feel safe to do it here,” she said.
After a little familiarity, she confided in our correspondent that she had a beauty salon but that since business had been bad, she went into commercial sex to augment her income, more so because it doesn’t affect her work in the afternoon. “But if any of my customers calls me during the day, I will oblige him as long as he’s ready to pay,” she added.
While our correspondent promised to get back to Water the following day, he gladly gave out his number as he pocketed the N1,000 gift given to him to buy himself a drink. He however added that he would be expecting a call, beaming with smiles as he walked away.
While the conversation lasted, some of the other guys had been moving up and down around the car, hoping the ‘madam’ would need them as well. And, on the other hand, Debbie had stormed out of the discussion with our correspondent out of impatience, complaining that she was losing money as she stood outside chatting, but not without a cash gift as well. Lol...Stolen Lupita Nyong'o Dress Returned, Thief Says Dress Is Fake! "Hollywood's Fake Bullsh*t"

This is really funny and surprising to me! Apparently the stolen Lupita Nyong's Oscar gown was FAKE! LOL, well that's according to the thief behind the stolen dress which has been returned.
We can report that the stolen Lupita Nyong'o's Oscar gown was returned to The London West Hollywood Friday afternoon where it was taken 2 days earlier ... and the thief called TMZ to tell us where it could be found and added it was a worthless fake.
A guy called us at around 2:30 PM Friday and said he had taken the dress from Lupita's hotel room after he noticed the door was ajar. He said he and others took 2 pearls off of the dress and took them to the garment district in downtown L.A. ... where they were told they weren't real.
The thief says he decided to take the dress back to the London in a garment bag that was inside a trash bag that he deposited in a 2nd floor bathroom adjacent to a fitness center.
We contacted the L.A. County Sheriff's Dept. and gave them the info. They went over to the hotel and retrieved the bag and they found a garment bag with the dress inside.
Law enforcement says they were told the Calvin Klein dress was worth $150K, but the thief says it's almost worthless.
The thief told us he returned the bag and called us because he wanted the world to know "Hollywood's fake bulls**t."

*LMAO... I wonder who's know telling the truth? Do you think that dress is worth $150kUSD or worthless as the thief said through their market survey research?

Tinubu is plotting to be the President through the back door, says PDP

Presidential Campaign Organisation of the Peoples Democratic Party has alleged that a former Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, is plotting to become the President of Nigeria through the back door.
It said the plot by the former governor, who is a stalwart of the main opposition party, the All Progressives Congress, was to take over as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in the event that Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) wins the March 28, 2015 presidential election.
Director of Media and Publicity of the PDP-PCO, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, made this allegation at a news conference in Abuja on Friday.
He nevertheless said the campaign team of the PDP-PCO wishes Buhari long life.
Fani-Kayode said skeletal information available to the PDP-PCO suggests that the Vice Presidential candidate of the APC, Prof Yemi Osibanjo, was picked by Tinubu and forced to take an oath to resign his appointment six months into the new cabinet should the APC win the elections.
The PDP-PCO further alleged that the party would field Tinubu as Osinbajo’s replacement after the alleged resignation.
Fani-Kayode argued that given the huge financial war chest being deployed by the leader of the party and his overbearing influence at single-handedly facilitating the emergence of Buhari and Osinbajo as the party’s candidates after allegedly failing to push the Muslim-Muslim ticket, further lends credence to his claim.
He asked Buhari to watch his back, adding that the alleged gang-up against him and Nigerians was based on the calculation that his health conditions would deteriorate and lead to his death, paving way for the vice president to take over power.
Fani-Kayode said, “It should baffle well-meaning Nigerians why Tinubu has decided to draft Buhari, despite his age, acrimonious background and questionable health status, into the presidential race whilst ensuring that his stooge, Prof Osinbajo, was foisted on the general as vice presidential candidate.
“The reason is that the PDP-PCO wishes to use this forum to expose the ungodly plan by Tinubu to seize the presidency of Nigeria by subterfuge.
“You will recall how Tinubu wanted to be running mate to Buhari in spite of the nationwide resentment for Muslim-Muslim ticket that he and Buhari planned to foist on their party.
“Senator Tinubu had justified the ticket by saying that competence was the important thing and not the issue of religion.
“But when he and Buhari could not push through the agenda within the APC, he (Tinubu), after being given the opportunity to nominate a vice presidential candidate, decided to prop up his stooge in the person of Prof. Osinbajo.
“Now the real reason Tinubu nominated Osinbajo has been made known to us and we hereby offer a public service to the Nigerian people by drawing their national attention to it. Credible pieces of information at our disposal indicate that Tinubu has perfected plans to come to power through the back door.
“Tinubu, according to our information, has compelled Osinbajo to swear to an oath that after six months in office, he would resign as the vice president, in the unlikely event that their party wins. The wicked plot, as laid out by them, is to force Osinbajo to resign for Tinubu to be nominated by Buhari as his replacement.
“The ultimate objective of this plot is to ensure that Tinubu becomes President. The script is simple: given the questionable health of Buhari, Tinubu, who is desperate to be president for his own selfish reasons, will simply bid his time in the evil expectation that Buhari will not be able to go the whole hog.
“How wicked can those that hatched this plan be? How unfair can they be to the North, to Buhari and to Nigerians? We wish Buhari long life. Senator Tinubu’s dangerous plan is about getting power. This is sad. No thoroughbred Yoruba man or indeed Nigerian wants to get power through the misfortune of another person.
“But this is the perfidious path that Tinubu is passing through. This is repugnant.
“It will interest you to know that our information is strengthened by the very similar act of resignation which Senator Tinubu had planned to force on Pastor Tunde Bakare which you can all watch now.
“We will like to show to you some footage that is on Youtube of Pastor Tunde Bakare’s interview where he openly admitted that he refused to sign a resignation letter that would have seen him hand over his vice presidential position had Buhari been successful in his presidential campaign in 2011.
“Becoming the vice president is not the destination but becoming the president! The agenda of the cabal within the APC is with the perceived health challenges of Buhari. They have told themselves in hushed tones that he has prostate cancer, acute asthma and that he suffers from dementia. This is their assessment and not ours. We do not know how true this is or what the nature of his illness is and neither are we interested. All these allegations of ill-health, to the cabal provide the justification for their evil plan.”
He said the structures around Buhari belong to Tinubu and that the actors around him, driving his campaign behind the scenes are also Tinubu’s men.
He said, “Most of the covert funding for this campaign comes from Tinubu’s friends outside the country and from Tinubu himself. So if he becomes President, Buhari will become virtually incapacitated and he will not be the one running the government. Those behind this plan would now be waiting for Buhari to pass on. That is what Tinubu wants to do to the North and to Nigeria.
“This is a wicked and ungodly attempt for Tinubu not only against the North and the Hausa/Fulani but against the whole country. We are convinced beyond any reasonable doubt that most Nigerians are not with this cabal. This is because no sane or rational person would wish another person evil to actualise his political ambition.”
Attempts to get the response from the spokesperson of the APC, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, were unsuccessful as of the time of filing this report. Calls to his mobile phone indicated that it was switched off while an e-mail sent to him had yet to be replied. Culled

Oh wow! South Korea's Court Legalises Adultery

This is unbelievable as the Souh Korean constitutional court legalized adultery. Read below according to a report credited to AP:
"South Korea’s Constitutional Court on Thursday struck down a controversial adultery law which for more than 60 years had criminalized extra-marital sex and jailed violators for up to two years.

The nine-member bench ruled by seven to two that the 1953 statute aimed at protecting traditional family values was unconstitutional.

“Even if adultery should be condemned as immoral, state power should not intervene in individuals’ private lives,” said presiding justice Park Han-Chul.

It was the fifth time the apex court had considered the constitutional legality of the legislation which had made South Korea one of the few non-Muslim countries to regard marital infidelity as a criminal act.

In the past six years, close to 5,500 people have been formerly arraigned on adultery charges — including nearly 900 in 2014.

But the numbers had been falling, with cases that ended in prison terms increasingly rare.
Whereas 216 people were jailed under the law in 2004, that figure had dropped to 42 by 2008, and since then only 22 have found themselves behind bars, according to figures from the state prosecution office.

The downward trend was partly a reflection of changing societal trends in a country where rapid modernization has frequently clashed with traditionally conservative norms.

Public views ‘have changed’

“Public conceptions of individuals’ rights in their sexual lives have undergone changes,” Park said, as he delivered the court’s decision.

Under the 1953 law, adultery could only be prosecuted on complaint from an injured party, and any case was closed immediately if the plaintiff dropped the charge — a common occurrence that often involved a financial settlement.

The law was grounded in a belief that adultery challenged the social order and damaged families, but critics insisted it was outdated and represented state overreach into people’s private lives.

The debate over its future had simmered away for years, bubbling over from time to time especially if a public figure fell foul of the statute.

Such was the case in 2008 when one of the country’s best-known actresses, Ok So-Ri, was given an eight-month suspended sentence for having an adulterous affair.

At that time, Ok unsuccessfully petitioned the Constitutional Court, arguing that the law amounted to a violation of her human rights in the name of revenge.

The court had previously deliberated the issue in 1990, 1993 and 2001, but those moves to strike down the law had failed to gain the support of the six judges required.

Ok’s 2008 petition had come close with five judges deeming the statute unconstitutional.

Improving gender equality

The law was originally designed to protect the rights of women at a time when marriage afforded them few legal rights, with most having no independent income and divorce carrying enormous social stigma.

But even socially conservative civic groups who had supported the legislation in the past acknowledged that times had changed.

“Adultery must be censured morally and socially, but such a law is inappropriate in a modern society,” said Ko Seon-Ju, an activist with the Seoul-based civic group Healthy Families.

“It used to be an effective  legal tool to protect female rights, but equal rights legislation has improved,” Ko said.

“Adultery is an issue that should be dealt with through dialogue between the partners, not by law,” she added.

While the adultery law may have been ruled out of existence, social disapproval of marital infidelity remains potent.

In April last year, South Korea blocked the newly launched Korean version of the global adultery hook-up site Ashley Madison, saying it threatened family values." Culled
*Hmm... I'm guessing this move will lead to an increase in adulteries and inevitably divorces!

Wow! Woman gives birth to baby without arms & husband runs away!

Wow, that's all i could say after i read this report of a baby that was delivered without arms in Ado/Odo Local Government Area, Ogun State. Ideally the arrival of a baby in every home heralds joy. But this was not the case for Mr. Mudashiru Sheriffdeen of Bosun Street, Ifo in the Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun State.
According to Punch, the wife, Taiwo, was on Tuesday delivered of a baby boy who had no arms.
The baby boy, our correspondent gathered, was born around 2pm at a private hospital, Majotal Medical Clinic at the Ilogbo area of Ado/Odo-Ota Local Government Area of the state.
It was further learnt that the baby weighed 3.25 kilogrammes at birth.
The mother of the baby told our correspondent that immediately she gave birth to the baby boy, her husband took to his heels on hearing that the baby was born without arms.
Expressing her sadness, she said, “This is my first child and I do not know why I gave birth to this kind of a baby.
“Immediately my husband was informed that his son had deformity, he ran away and had not come to see me. He is a commercial bus driver, and we had been married now for almost two years before God decided to answer our prayers.
“When I was pregnant, we took every steps that the doctor directed us to take, but we did not know why we came about this calamity.”
While pleading for assistance from well meaning Nigerians, Mrs Sheriffdeen said, “I have been warned by both my husband and our landlord not to bring the child home.
“The hospital management has asked us to leave the hospital. Now, this child and I have nowhere to go, I don’t need this baby. I want government to adopt him.”
*My question is where exactly does the man thinks he's running to?

Wow! 17-yrs-old Kylie Jenner Just Bought A $2.7 Million USD House!

Wow! is all i could say if this info according to TMZ is true.... According to the report Kim Kardashian's step-sister and Bruce/Kris Jenner's last child Kylie Jenner (17-years-old)  just bought a $2.7 million USD house... Here is how TMZ reported it:
"Kylie Jenner is 17. She's buying a $2.7 million house. FML, right?
Sources tell TMZ, Kylie has inked a deal to buy this 4,900 square foot house in The Oaks, an exclusive gated community in Calabasas.
The house -- which is a block from Kourtney and Khloe -- has a sick home theater, a pool, 5 bedrooms, an awesome kitchen, and on and on.
Kylie has made a lot of money on KUWTK. To give you an idea, we're told Scott Disick banks $4 million a season, so she's got the cash. We're told Kris Jenner is "helping her" with the purchase, but we're told it's Kylie loot.
It's a little weird that a girl who is about to turn 18 and is big on the party scene is settling for a suburban, family neighborhood, 24 miles from the action of Hollywood. Justin Bieber tried it and it didn't work out too well."
See more photos the lovely house below:
