Wives Of Northern Governors Donate Food, Other Gifts To Internally Displaced People In Borno State

19 Northern Governors Wives Donates Foodstuffs to internally displaced people (IDP) in Borno The Borno State First Lady Hajja Nana Kashim Shettima had on Tuesday received 7 wives of Northern Governors under the auspices of Northern Governors's Wives Forum to donate their widow's might to the Internally Displaced Persons in Borno State.

The forum led by its Chairperson Arc. Yemisi Doshima Gabriel Susuwan said they were at the State to commiserate with the good people of Borno and the North-east over the persistent destruction of lives and properties, and also to offer their widow's might forwards alleviating the sufferings of the IDPs in various camps across the state.

On their arrival to the state, the forum paid a courtesy call on Governor Kashim Shettima at the Council Chamber of the Government House where the Governor expressed appreciation for their visit and thanked them for making this timely donation.

Chairperson of the Forum said the items worth N40 Million which the forum donated to the IDPs was sourced from the sells of Governors's Wives Almanac which was launched last year.

The host, who is the wife of the Borno State Governor Hajja Nana Kashim Shettima was full of praises to her colleagues whom have shown greater concern and boldness by defying all security threat to personal come down to Borno state only to present relief materials.
