As we'll be celebrating Christmas, eating and drinking at our various homes or families and friends homes... Some will be celebrating this Christmas without a roof on their head... This is as a result of the demolitions that has been carried out in Mowo Phase II, Badagry.
According to Vanguard, officers of the Lagos State Command of Nigerian Police, yesterday carried out massive demolition of over 600 structures on a 65 hectares of land in Mowo Phase II, Badagry, Olorunda Local Council Development Area (LCDA), and the owners where accused of "trespassing" on the land.
According to Vanguard, the demolition came just about two years after the command, via the state Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development, issued letters to the trespassers to vacate the land to no avail.
The report also claimed that the demolition was ordered by the Inspector General of Police, IGP, Abubakar Muhammed.
