Abidjan- Ivory Coast Tolerates Gays

The city of Abidjan continues to show great tolerance towards the Gay community with the establishment and flourishing of gay bars and club within the metropolis. This is far from what is experienced in other African countries! Most of which has criminalized homosexual relationships with harsh legal punishments coupled with several been threats or lynched to dead by mobs of anti-gay supporters (Homophobics acts) to homosexuals in African countries. This harsh treatment is due to the assumption anti-gay supporters that homosexuality is a deviant act which is contrary to African cultures and religion.
What do you think about this? should gays in Nigeria relocate to a safer place or remain in Nigeria and face constant persecution by the Nigerian law or the jungle justice by the masses?
