The 20th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards nomination will be announced by Sasha Alexander and Clark Gregg today Dec. 11 at the Pacific Design Centre in West Hollywood.
As an African i will be watching to hear them announce nominees of African descend where we have a Nigerian by birth Chiwetelu Umeadi "Chiwetel" Ejiofor who bagged multiple nomination in "12 years a slave." The movie was nominated in four different categories.
Another Nigerian in the nomination list is Adepero Oduye in "12 years a slave." Other Africans are also in the nomination list.
Kenyan's Lupita Nyong'o in "12 years a slave." in an outstanding performance by a female in supporting role while all "12 years a slave" cast where nominated in outstanding cast by a motion picture.
Also Barkhad Abdi, and Abduwali Muse the Somalian actors got nominated in outstanding performance by a male in supporting role in "Captain Phillips," which also starred Tom Hanks
