President Jonathan Launches New E-ID Card

President Goodluck Jonathan just launched today (August 28, 2014) the new national e-ID card at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. This new e-ID card would serve a multi-purpose form of identification, including daily transactions and payments and also bio-metric purposes. 
The new e-ID card is powered by MasterCard.
*Just hoping that this doesn't end up like the former identification card.
