Ice Bucket Challenge: A Wake Up Call To Africans to Fund Ebola Reasearch

Ice bucket challenge which is now a trending social media campaign to raise fund for The ALS Association, an American nonprofit organization that raises money for research and patient services, promotes awareness about and advocates in states and federal government (USA) on issues related to amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig's disease.
While, i fully support this course which have witnessed participants/donors like billionaires, Bill Gates, Oprah Winfrey, Mark Zuckerberg (Facebook CEO).
Also not left behind in the support for this noble course are Hollywood and international music stars, entertainment artists and notable personalities in United States of America.
Back home, Nigerian celebrities have taken up the Ice bucket challenges from their friends and also donated to the course. Some of these celebrities like Genevieve Nnaji, Peter Psquare, Don Jazzy, Davido etc., shared their videos on social media.
While, i think its a laudable course to be involved with... i sat back and thought about the present nations in West Africa been ravaged by the deadly Ebola Virus that takes only few days for an infected patient to die and become an Ebola victim. Lets not forget that according to World Health Organisation (WHO), the world have lost closed to 2000 lives to Ebola virus including a bold and courageous, Dr. Ameyo Stella Adadeyoh, a senior consultant endocrinologist who became infected with the deadly Ebola virus while treating the Liberian-American, Patrick Sawyer.
Am so sick of some Nigerian celebrities in particular trying to catch up or copy any trend from the western world without researching on its direct or indirect benefit to Nigerian and Africans in General.
How long or what will it take Nigerian and African celebrities to initiate a fund raising campaign for an independent research and patient services that promotes Ebola virus awareness. Their popularity will go a long way in raising something tangible.
I wish to thank Tontoh Dikeh on her Ebola virus campaign ad... and others that have created similar awareness. .
Here is calling on Genevieve Nnaji, Don Jazzy, Dbanj, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Tony Elumelu, Ben Bruce, Basket Mouth, Tubaba, Wizkid, Davido, Reuben Abati, Doyin Okupe, etc to inititate a campaign to raise fund for Ebola Virus.... Its time to use your platform to save life and better humanity.

Thanks for reading and i hope this helps in the fight against Ebola Virus... I'm willing to partake and contribute in any Ebola awareness campaign.
