Senate Plans 7yrs jail for social media critics

This cannot be true! No this must be happening in the dreamland!... How can the Nigerian senate attempt to infringe on its citizens human right with its impending passage of a controversial bill which has unfortunately passed through its second reading at the upper house.
This is such an ugly development and undemocratic...
A key section in the proposed bill is section 13 which stipulates that "Anyone, who intentionally propagates false information that could threaten the security of the country or that is capable of inciting the general public against the government through electronic message shall be guilty of an offence and upon conviction shall be sentenced to seven years imprisonment or N5 million (fine)".... WHAT?
This is a rude slap on democracy and on the faces of those that elected those senators!
