Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, said on Saturday in Lagos at an event to praise the late Nelson Mandela, that he will steal $1billion if given the opportunity, most especially as its a trend in Nigeria not to punish corrupt government official
According to NewsWireNGR, the governor was quoted as saying "Me, i want to steal $1bn, let them bring it. You read Obasanjo's letter and you are asking why is he writing the letter, is he a South-South man? In fact, when he was there what did he do? You, what have you done? If you don't take your destiny in your hands, we will go and other leaders will come and will continue stealing"...
OMG! Nigerian citizens have really suffered in the hands of these corrupt government official... and at the same time... the law and anti-corruption bodies in Nigerian havn't been effective but rather a mere barking bulldog that never bites.
Rotimi's statement is a real an expose of the corrupt practices that has been constantly neglected by previous and present government which he's a part of.
