Acid Attacker Jailed For 12 Years

She has been sentenced for her evil act of jealousy which made her pour acid on her friend Naomi Oni for being more beautiful than her.. huh? This is a real complex issue! Who ever thinks this way??
Well according to report, the accused offender Nigerian Mary Konye, 22, picture above was sentenced to 12 years imprison at Snarebrook Crown Court in the UK.
The Victim also a Nigerian named Naomi 22, picture below was not present in court for the hearing which told place on 21 March 2014 at Snarebrook Crown Court UK.

I have been trying to figure out Anna Wintour's prerequisite to feature someone on the cover of the exquisite Vogue Magazine! The reason am throwing this question out to Anna Wintour and the entire Vogue Publication is to figure if its appropriate for someone who is famous for nothing but doing sex tape (soft porn) in the person of Kim Kardashian.

Anna Wintour and Vogue Publication shouldn't have fallen to the alleged pressures mounted on her by the egomaniac Kanye West. This could set a bad precedent and further disappoint youngsters who have real talents but have been constantly ignored by such publications.

Needless to say that this cover featuring Kim Kadarshian and Kanye West will only glamourized sex tapes and general immorality as a mean of getting stardom.

Workers Protest Over Unpaid Salaries At ITC Park Owerri

Workers of Imo State Transport Corporation (ITC) have reportedly staged a massive protest over unpaid salaries by blocking the park's main entrance in Owerri Imo-State.

Its alleged that "Ginikana" which happens to be the company managing the transport firm have been owing workers a backlog of SEVEN MONTHS salary and allowances. This is according to protest placards which one of them reads "Pay our seven months salary or let them go. Enough is enough."

16 Confirmed Dead in Nigerian Immigration Employment Exercise!

This is really a sad moment for family members of the dead applicants in the Nigerian Immigration Employment Exercise held over the weekend throughout the nation no forgetting those injured.

According to Mr Abba Moro, the Minister of Interior who confirmed the the number and other related statistics during an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday in Abuja.

The Minister said that in Edo state one female applicant collapsed at the venue of the exercise and was rushed to the hospital where she died.

He said that in Jigawa state a male applicant died in an accident on his way to the venue of the exercise while in Niger two persons died as a result of the stampede.

He said that seven applicants in the FCT died also from the stampede while in Rivers five persons died.

Some applicants sustained injuries during the exercise with some have being treated and discharged while others are currently receiving treatment in various hospitals across the country.

Earlier suggestions by the Minister as to the cause of the stampedes and subsequent death was due to impatience on the side of the applicants. While i agree partially with the Minister's reason for the incident, i think Nigeria Immigration Service knew all along based on the numbers of applicants that the crowd would be much and bearing in mind the "Nigeria Factor" and provide adequate crowd control.

Secondly, i read from PREMIUMTIMES, that Nigeria Immigration Service made N520 million from the applicants. huh? Hon. Minister, you should expect the applicants to be impatient when they have paid money to get a job! I have been in the diaspora for years and never seen a vacancy or job that applicants are required to pay money in order to get, instead we are advised not to pay money to anybody acting on their behalf (third party).

I have few questions for the Minister and Nigerian Immigration Service: What happens to qualified people who don't have the "vacancy application fees"? 

Where will an unemployed youth get money to pay for a job that he/she is not sure of securing?

Are you exploiting on the unemployed youth in Nigeria by levying them?

Face Of Unemployment In Nigeria At Immigration Recruitment Exercise

No wonder many Nigerians are doing all they can to relocate from Nigeria. I was amazed looking at the face of unemployment in Nigeria at the recent nationwide Immigration exercise.

Nigerian Immigration exercise (2014)  have recorded casualties (Death) due to stampede caused by the overcrowded stadiums used for these exercise.

Looking at this photos, you will ordinary think its a sport event like Olympics or a major football match that is taking place but no! its an employment exercise; this shows that Nigeria has a high level of unemployment, even with lots of mineral resources, Most Nigerian citizens are living below required standard of living and corruption is the order of the day.

Nigerian government should look after the youth and figure ways to empower them to avoid youth revolt.

Chris Brown Goes To Jail

American superstar Chris Brown has gotten what dreaded and never bargained for (Jail). According to TMZ, "Chris Brown is on his way to jail right now, because he violated a judge's order by getting booted from the rehab facility where he's been living for nearly 4 months.   

The judge in the Rihanna beating case ordered Chris to live in the Malibu rehab facility for 90 days to get anger management therapy, and he completed the stint earlier this month.  BUT ... at the last court hearing, the judge modified things and ordered Chris to stay in the facility while the Washington D.C. assault case ran its course.

The deal was this ... if Chris left rehab, he would go directly to jail.

Sources familiar with the situation tell TMZ ... Brown was thrown out of the rehab facility this morning, for violating "internal rules."  We do not know precisely what Chris did, but we're told it did not involve violence or drugs.

Sources tell TMZ ... Chris was caught having "an inappropriate relationship" with a female worker at the beginning of the month, but that is NOT why he was thrown out today.

As you recall, Chris was previously thrown out of a different facility for throwing a rock at his mom's car window. 

Chris was picked up by L.A. County Sheriff's deputies a short time ago and is on his way to jail."

Boko Haram Members Killed In Maiduguri (Graphic! Viewers Discretion)

Gradually the present government will flush out the Boko Haram insurgents that has been terrorizing our nation Nigeria for years now which casualties has been countless and families thrown into mourning on a regular basis due to their (Boko Haram) unrepentant spirit.
According to report, There was a massive raid of suspected Boko Haram insurgents which started in the city of Maiduguri around 7.20am on March 14, 2014, Friday. The military men defended courageously and have reportedly repelled the assault. However, the question remains: WHAT was the point of such a reckless attack.

According to a statement by the Defence Headquarters (DHQ), terrorists moved in trying to “boost their depleted stock of fighters”. In other words, they intended to free their colleagues, including a notorious “human butcher” who is currently being held in detention.

It is believed that Friday’s terrorists’ attempt was in response to the intensity of attacks on their strongholds in camps at Talala, Monguzum, Sambisa forest, Gwoza, Mandara mountains, as well as the general area of Lake Chad. The camps have been destroyed and many insurgents killed.

The DHQ further stated that the attackers suffered a defeat in Maiduguri today. Those extremists who came for a rescue mission were either killed or wounded, and, therefore, captured. Many of terrorists’ weapons were recovered as well. The exact numbers were not announced at the time of filing the present report. Four soldiers were wounded and are being treated.

The armed forces and security agencies are currently in hot pursuit of fleeing terrorists by land and air operations. Missions are ongoing along with cordon and search of surrounding localities. A “dusk to dawn curfew” has also been imposed in Borno.

As concerned killed Boko Haram fighters, then their bodies were on full display in the streets.

According to a witness and a member of the Civilian JTF, 13 corpses of members of the Boko Haram sect were dumped in front of Giwa barracks.

As you may notice, the residents kept beating the corpses, despite the men have been already dead.

This is a nice news! Nigerian writer; Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie just won the US National Critics Book Prize for her novel Americanah. 

The book which tells the story of a Nigerian woman who moves to the US to pursue a college education.

It should be recalled that in 2008, her second novel, Half of a Yellow Sun, won the UK’s Orange Prize and Purple Hibiscus was subsequently longlisted for the Booker Prize four years earlier.

Furthermore, Chimamanda Ngozie Adichie is also in the running for the UK’s Baileys Women’s Prize for Fiction – formerly known as the Orange Prize – for Americanah.

The National Critics Book Prize was first awarded in 1974 and is open to writers of all nationalities whose work has been published in the US.

Update On Missing Malaysian Airlines Flight MH370

According to CNN -- A Chinese satellite probing the mysterious disappearance of Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 "observed a suspected crash area at sea," a Chinese government agency said -- a potentially pivotal lead into what thus far has been a frustrating, fruitless search.

China's State Administration for Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense announced the discovery, including images of what it said were "three suspected floating objects."

The objects aren't small: 13 by 18 meters (43 by 59 feet), 14 by 19 meters (46 by 62 feet) and 24 by 22 meters (79 feet by 72 feet). For reference, the wingspan of an intact Boeing 777-200ER like the one that disappeared is about 61 meters (200 feet), and the plane's overall length is about 64 meters (210 feet).

The images were captured around 11 a.m. on March 9, the day after the plane went missing, but weren't released until Wednesday.

The Chinese agency gave coordinates of 105.63 east longitude, 6.7 north latitude, which would put it in waters northeast of where it took off in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and south of Vietnam, near where the South China Sea meets the Gulf of Thailand. A Malaysian air force official, who is not authorized to speak to the media, did say Thursday morning that its aircraft were heading to that area.

Bill Palmer -- author of a book on Air France's Flight 447, which also mysteriously went missing before its remnants were found -- said having a search area of that size is immensely challenging. He compared it to trying to find something the size of a car or truck in Pennsylvania, then widening it to look for the same thing in all of North America.

"It's a very, very difficult situation to try to find anything," Palmer told CNN's Brooke Baldwin. "Looking for pieces on the shimmering water doesn't make it any easier."

The Chinese satellite find could help, significantly, in that regard.

"I think the size of the pieces ... everything we've heard... gives good cause to believe that we've now (refocused) the area," former Federal Aviation Administration official Michael Goldfarb told CNN. "And that's a huge relief to everybody ... I think it's a high chance that they're going to confirm that these (are) pieces of the wreckage."

"The Igbo nation is not working" -- Governor Rochas Okorocha

Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has lamented the disunity among Igbo leader as a major cause of an Igbo nation that is not working.

Okorocha, who spoke at the opening of the International Colloquium on the Igbo Question in Nigeria, holding at the Igbozurume Unity Centre, Emene Enugu, noted that in the search for unity, the Igbo must seek the face of God and go for atonement.

Said he; “The Igbo nation is not working, but it will take my generation to make it work; we have everything, the only thing lacking is unity. Any day we achieve unity, Igbo will move mountains in this country. We are Hebrews, thus, no nation can defeat Ndi-Igbo, but we must come together to attain our potentials.

“Ojukwu has died without reconciling with Ekwueme; Jim Nwobodo and Mbakwe were not in good terms, among the governors, they are not in good terms. Igbo must forgive themselves, we have the Arewa House, Oduduwa House, but Ohaneze does not have any of such because of disunity. The war did not unite us neither has our language united us.

“Igbo have to go for atonement, peace and reconciliation; Igbo must converge in Enugu and ask God for forgiveness; we must fast and pray. We must set out a day for atonement. The problem of Nigeria is because an Igbo man has not ruled this country; other tribes have tried but I tell you any day an Igbo man mounts the saddle, Nigerians will heave a sigh of relief,” Okorocha said.
