Western Media Bad Blood/Negative Coverage Of Africa

Sometimes one wonders why the western media always focuses on negativity within the African continent? Is it that nothing good comes out of Africa? Not mistaking many African nationals have been given western nationalities due to their contributions to the western nations, e.g. Nigerian-born now America's computer scientist Philip Emeagwali. This Nigerians and many others from Africa have been given citizenship by western countries in order to discourage them from going back to their homeland.
As an oversea postgraduate student in developmental studies, i understand that most African countries and Nigeria precisely, are very much underdeveloped even with enormous resources at its disposal but i believe there's room for development. Nigeria would have been developed above its present state if not for the poor security state confronting it-- no thanks to the Boko Haram, whom obviously are been sponsored by political enemies of the present administration headed by President Goodluck  Ebele Jonathan (GEJ) and these anti-GEJ political enemies are obliviously enemies of the Nigerian state.
Nigerian government under GEJ have been battling the dreaded Boko-Haram terrorist group with an efforts at bringing back the chibok girls that   have attracted global attention due to the social media awareness created by the #BRINGBACKOURGIRLS campaign.
In recent days Nigeria in collaboration with its neighouring countries affected by the Boko Haram menace has intensified efforts to crush down the terrorist group, these multi-nation effort has led to a noticeable progress.
One can vividly recall that during the height of Boko Haram insurgency in Nigeria, the western media where fairly objective with their reportage which were a bite lopsided and  against the Nigerian government. However, now that the government has recorded some progress in it's battle approach against Boko Haram, no credit is being given to the government for its efforts so far by the western media.
I'm not pro-Goodluck Ebele Jonathan's (GEJ) neither a pro-opposition coalition in Nigeria but it's obvious that in-spite of various crisis confronting Nigeria, GEJ in collaboration with other states were able to control the dreaded Ebola Virus outbreak in Nigeria even better than the United State of America at the moment, this feat deserves commendation from the western media as they were the ones that blew the Ebola Virus outbreak in West Africa out of proportion and now that the Nigerian government under GEJ has been able to control the outbreak, one can rarely see any commendation of Nigeria from the western media... This is so not cool. The western media has been known to be spreading negative news and propaganda about Africa but at-least a credit of positive development in Africa won't be a bad idea, especially with Nigeria's efforts at controlling the spread of Ebola Virus.
Africa and Nigeria in particular should be aware of these unprofessional pattern of African affairs reportage by the western media.

Sincerely
